The Vietnam war was the U.S. military's first major test of the effectiveness of rotary wing aircraft in combat. The exploits of the pilots who flew the Cobras, Hueys and light observation helicopter's are now legend. The tragic loss of live would have been much greater if not for the actions of these brave aviators.
This sculpture is equipped with the early pilot outfit, consisting of slant pocket jungle fatigues, flight helmet, jungle boots, .38 Smith & Wesson revolver with shoulder holster.
